How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Who we are

This website is run by Dion & Niels, operating under the project name Growide. We are based in the Netherlands.

2. What data we collect

We keep things simple. We only collect the following personal data:

a) Contact form

When you use our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your message

We use this information only to respond to your message. We do not share it with anyone else, and we do not use it for marketing.

b) Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This may collect:

  • Pages you visit
  • How long you stay on a page
  • Your general location (country or city level, not your exact address)
  • Your browser type and screen size
  • The website that referred you to us

We use this data to improve our website. Analytics cookies are only placed after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy for more details.

c) Spam protection

We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on our contact forms to protect against spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and send it to Google for analysis. This data is processed by Google under their privacy policy.

3. Why we collect your data (legal basis)

Under the GDPR, we need a legal reason to process your data. Here are ours:

  • Contact form: We process your data based on your consent. You give this consent by checking the box on the form and clicking "Send Message".
  • Analytics: We process anonymous or pseudonymous analytics data based on our legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used and how we can improve it.

4. How long we keep your data

  • Contact form messages: We keep your name, email, and message for up to 12 months after your last message, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
  • Analytics data: Analytics data is kept according to the default retention settings of Google Analytics and is typically aggregated (not personally identifiable).

5. Who has access to your data

Your data is only accessible to the person(s) running Growide. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

  • Hosting provider: Our website is hosted by Hostinger, which may process data as part of delivering the website to you.
  • Analytics provider: We use Google Analytics, operated by Google LLC. Google may process data as described in their privacy policy.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access: You can ask us what personal data we have about you, and we will send you a copy.
  • Right to correction: If your data is incorrect or incomplete, you can ask us to fix it.
  • Right to deletion: You can ask us to delete your personal data. We will do so unless we have a legal reason to keep it.
  • Right to withdraw consent: If we process your data based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
  • Right to complain: If you believe we are not handling your data correctly, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

To exercise any of these rights, simply send an email to info@growide.nl. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data transfers outside the EU

We try to keep all data within the European Economic Area (EEA). If any of our tools or services transfer data outside the EEA (for example, to the United States), we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including using HTTPS encryption on our website. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check this page occasionally.
